Langt de fleste materialer kan printes uden et adskillelseslag (f. eks. lim). Polycarbonat (Nylon) printer bedre p satin. (sammenlignet med glatte og teksturerede ark) Ved ofte print med PETG og PC anbefales det at bruge lim for at forhindre mulig skade p arket.
