As with any vacuum analysing tool you connect the pipes to the intake outlets which are sometimes on the carbs or little stub pipes on the inlet rubbers as in the case of Kawasaki's mighty Z1 series bikes
The tool has a comfortable rubber grip which can be removed to reveal a knurled top with engraved graduations should they be required

Don't forget to put a drop of BondLoc B243 on the threads to halt corrosion and ensure they don't come loose. Then you simply hook the paddock stand into them to lift the bike for easy maintenance.
