Unity EPNS Butter Dish With Bakelite Finial & Frosted Glass Inner CutleryA stunning silver plated butter dish with a Bakelite lid finial and a frosted glass starburst liner. The extended rim has a beautiful pierced patterning and slightly folded rim where the patterning occur as scalloped rim where the pattern ends. The dish is stamped underneath Unity EPNS. Besides requiring a good polish, the dish is in very good condition. Height with lid finial: 6 cm, Height of rim: 2 cm, Diameter of base: 8. 5 cm, Diameter of rim: 14.

The creamer is fitted with a distinctly art deco styled handle

The item is designed with an embossed rope edge underneath the rim resulting in a scalloped effect

Diameter of candle socket rim: 4

The green clad box with white and green satin liner and two brass frontal clips also do not seem original to the set

Although difficult to determine the origin or manufacture of this set

but production continued under Barker Bros name until the company closed in 1981

The sugar bowl has a hairline and some discolouration on the bottom (please see picture) and the gold trim on the rim has worn off

The dish is in very good (almost unused) condition

Since 2000 KAHLA is held by the Raithel family
