Caparsa, Vin Santo del Chianti Classico 2001 (37.5cl) RiverinaCaparsa's wines are extremely sought after for their quality and capacity to age for decades. Rich and intensely sweet with concentrated aromas of dried fruit, fig, candied apricot and orange peel. The sweetness is balanced by a fresh acidity and a lingering, spicy finish. Great with duck liver pate, pumpkin pie but also cakes and cheese or cantucci the traditional biscotti of Tuscany.

This vintage is mostly Valdiguie that adds a little spiciness however this wine is utterly reliable and ends with a lovely burst of rich black fruit
