Georges Laval, Garennes Extra Brut Brut ZeroThe NV (2022) Extra Brut Garennes is a very pretty, aromatic Champagne. Kirsch, dried flowers, mint and spice add an exotic flair throughout. The super refined mousse is perfectly matched by the wine's lighter structure. There is a touch of volatile acidity that is not uncommon for this style of Champagne done in barrel with a significant percentage of perpetual reserve. The Garennes is a beautifully understated Champagne, more finesse than power.

I have no doubt the 2016 will blossom in bottle
